When your brain is “versatilized,” so are you! When your brain is freed up to think of things it has never thought of before, you will DO things that you have never DONE before, and you will discover that you are BEING things that you have never BEEN betore. You will discover that you are courageous, daring, capable, resourceful, confident, and, ultimately, the master of your life. This is the goal of Human Technology.
Our brain controls every single movement that we consciously make, from a crooked finger to the subtle curve of a smile. Each movement is connected to a specific part of our brain; working on specific parts of the body will stimulate corresponding areas of the brain.
We have an established pattern of movement and exercise in our daily lives. Even if we work out at a gym, we tend to repeat the same motions over and over again. This means that we are stimulating identical parts of the brain again and again. If we want to stimulate less frequently used areas of the brain, then we must work with parts of our body that we have neglected. We must engage in new patterns of exercise, which is what we aim to do with the BR Versatilizing Exercise below.
Try new exercises with different rhythms, especially concentrating on left and right brain coordination, to stimulate and introduce flexibility into your brain.
1. Place both hands on your chest, with one hand in a fist and the other open. With the open hand, rub your chest up and down. Simultaneously, tap on your chest with your fisted hand.
2. Repeat ten times and then switch hands.
3. Repeat ten times and switch hands again.
4. In the air, draw a circle with your left hand and draw a triangle with your right.
5. Next, draw a square with your left hand and draw a reverse triangle with your right.
6. Alternate hands and repeat the steps above.
