March is Multiple Sclerosis Awareness Month, a time to reflect on a disease that affects as many as one in 670 Americans. MS is an autoimmune condition that affects the body's nerves. Over time, the immune system slowly degrades the myelin sheaths that coat the nerves of the brain and spinal cord, the National Institutes of Health reports.

Because MS cause the muscles to spasm, go numb or tingle, it is important to learn effective pain management techniques. The Dahn Yoga DVD offers a number of methods for controlling aches, twitching and even the emotions.

The video itself, which is about an hour long, was inspired by yoga practitioner Cathy Downie, an MS sufferer who found significant relief through Dahn Yoga postures and meditation.
