It Is the Humans Who Have to Do the Work

Why do humans insist upon differentiating everything, ever since we ate of the grape in Mago’s Castle, or the forbidden fruit in the Garden of Eden? Why do we separate God from humans? Mine from yours? My religion from your religion? My country from your country? Is it so difficult to create this concept of “us” as you and I as One? Can we open up our minds a little bit more to allow the possibility of coexistence in harmony and tolerance? Can we create this new road, the road that the Creator surely would want us to take? The road we are on right now will ultimately lead us to ruination.

Looking back on our various traditions and history, we know that, although the Creator has given us life. He has also given us free will. The Creator has given us the power to utilize nature for our benefits but has not actively stopped our abuses, giving us choice in our actions. The world’s problems lie not in the realm of the Creator, but in the realm of humans. If humanity should perish due to our misjudgments and arrogance, the Creator will watch and observe but will not actively intervene, for He has given us all the tools necessary to make corrections. It is up to us to do the work.

Ilchi Lee is the author of 26 books including Healing Society he says five, a New Human is a divine person. Divinity is an expression of energy that connects us to the Cosmic Energy. When we are inspired, we are connected. Everything in this universe is filled with this divine energy, and therefore, all existence is divine. It is up to the individual to decide upon what level of divinity he or she chooses to experience and stay at. We have access to all types of information, messages, and ideas, but it is our choice to accept which ones. I propose that a New Human is someone who uses the divinity within as the tilter through which he or she culls through the information that is input into the brain. And experiencing and recalling forth this divinity needs to become an everyday habit, not just a temporary ray of light that is soon lost.

A New Human is someone who has made enlightenment a habit and trains hard to keep up the level of his or her spiritual fitness. As I said, we need one hundred million New Humans in ten years to reach a critical mass that will jump start the Enlightenment Revolution.

Let us join in.

Three, a New Human needs to be emotionally rich. He or she needs to feel the beauty of existence and harmony. Ilchi Lee describe this does not mean that you should be fickle or emotionally undulating. Nor does this mean that you should avoid emotional swings by being barren of emotions themselves. A New Human knows how to use emotions to appreciate the surrounding beauty, making life rich, harmonious, and relaxing. Our emotions are not us, just tools for us to “feel” the Truths about life.

Four, a New Human needs to be honest and conscientious. The line between wrong or right can vary according to culture and age, but the will to be honest and conscientious is always forever and uniformly valued in all cultures and throughout history. Conscientiousness means listening to the voice of divinity within. Without this, it is impossible to be healthy in body and mind. Who am I? What is the purpose of my life? Conscientiousness is the will to listen to the answers to these questions honestly and courageously.

Generally, our focus, our awareness, and our everyday concentration are located in the neocortex layer of our brains, with its reasoning and analyzing frame of mind. This is inevitable because this competition-driven society of ours forces us to use our neocortex constantly. To do better than the other students in class, we have to memorize. To earn more money and be promoted in the workplace, we have to constantly come up with new ideas and methods. In a competitive social paradigm, we cannot escape the realm of the neocortex. However, with such constant usage, the neocortex is under pressure always, leading to various stress-related ailments such as compulsive disorder and insomnia. In fact, a Duke University Medical School study in 1998 concluded that close to one hundred percent of modern ailments can be traced back to one factor: stress. We have lost our ability to relax.

It is the cerebral limbic system that demands that we fulfill its appetite for sex and food, in addition to satisfying its need for security, recognition, and dominance. Prof Lee recommend we have been trying so far to appease our cerebral limbic system through competition. However the wants of the cerebral limbic system are endless and limitless in nature, always leaving something more to be desired. It is impossible to fully satisfy our cerebral limbic system unless we do it through the power of the brain stem. That is the crux of Brain Respiration.

So, how is the three-layer structure of our brain related to our spiritual advancement? Simple. Many people have vague and mystical ideas about enlightenment and divinity. But so-called enlightenment, if expressed in neuropsychological terms, means the reintegration of the triple layers of our brain. And all of us can achieve this enlightenment with proper training. It’s akin to working out to slim down or to increase your muscle mass by a certain percentage. Ilchi Lee Prof says all you need is proper training, guidance from a gym trainer, and a sensible diet. I want to be clear on this: enlightenment is not some mystical experience available to only those who are chosen by some divine method. I want to strip away the mystical veil from enlightenment. Enlightenment is an experience available to everyone, should he or she make the choice to want to be enlightened. After all, you can’t have a nice physical body if you don’t work at it. This is the exact same thing. You have to train spiritually to reach, and keep yourself at, the level of enlightenment. And Brain Respiration is the training method presented by Dahn Hak.

Materialism is a system of living that uses competition to create a caste system of winners and losers.

The insidious catch is that the competition is self-sustaining and spirals upward until everyone is eventually a loser. There will always be someone who runs when you walk, and who flies when you run. Materialism is a system of living that creates losers out of all of us.

Ilchi Lee said if a social system requires that we be winners to feel self-worth, what happens to the feelings of self-worth of the losers, who are left out of the social system as outcasts and pariahs. No wonder so many people feel anxious and nervous, because they know deep down inside that they will be left out of the loop eventually, if they are not already.
