The Universal Language of the New Civilization

According to Ilchi Lee research the nervous system can be said to take care of formal communication matters while the meridian system is in charge of informal communication. If you have ever done business or gone out on a date, you know that the informal communication of moods and feelings can be far more important than the formal spoken parts. If we were limited to only the formal mode of communication, we would never even have to see each other face to face. Everything could be done over the phone or by e-mail.

In such fashion, informal communication, the circulation and exchange of energy, maintains our life. Ki, therefore, fills many roles: it is the motivating force behind physical life functions such as the flow of blood or nerve signals, and it provides the communication channels that deliver information concerning moods and feelings. Ki is the analog information capable of filling in the “unfillable holes” left by digitized information. Ki is the language of life, the language of feelings, and the language of the soul. When you are feeling sad, the energy flow may be physically manifested as tears. When you are happy, the energy flow may be expressed as a bright expression and a light step. When these types of information are carried to the neocortex of the brain, we tend to make them wear different names, and call them “poems.” “philosophy,” or even “ideologies.”

How can ants and bats know beforehand that an earthquake is coming? How can a salmon find its way back home? How can migrating birds orient themselves in the wide blue yonder? The amazing abilities of animals have been much talked about, but the exact mechanisms of these feats remain a mystery.
