Our SHIM SUNG…The Divine in me recognises the Divine in you…Namaste…

This morning, Ana, my colleague, said to me, “…it’s really misty…must be hard getting in , no?..”…funny, i smiled to myself…

so everybody knew about the mist :-) no more secret?…

And so, that was how i felt as I staffed (finally!) for Shim Sung this weekend….and saw …yes, how misty….one spark, so many manifestations….

so likewise…how can anyone see me? how can i expect people to know me? So much emotions….thought patterns….cloudiness….as i looked around at everyone in the room…they all like me! :-) bright spots in the middles…yet i nearly got fooled, on my first day…so i said “sorry” from my heart…for my preconceptions…about you and you and you….

…and i felt really humbled….as a staff…and i realized…there’s so much more to learn…from others….if only i could listen…properly…everyone has something to bring  :-) and i hope, we never forget our worth….even as life can sometimes appear to wear us down….spread us thin…

I came out of the workshop, …a new respectful ”me”!..the staff: the MSNs, the Masters…the passion they bring: to make each flower bloom…so this kind of attitude, i like to become attached to…i told myself…as i watched Master Lee, i saw how i could still keep my playfulness, and yet be responsible in my role….and i realised, how my past behaviours,  could seem offensive to Master Edward at times, as i see the seriousness and sincerity he brings to his role…so the expectations of how i really need to step up to mine…I learnt so much by being “on the job” with the masters…  :-)

Shim Sung

it was a great Shim Sung experience… as i also thank myself, for giving myself the opportunity to discover me…i’m very grateful to Master Bright for  inviting me to help out….that gave me a confidence boost she knew i needed…

Thank you for the wonderful Shim Sung program; Thank you Dahn Yoga; Thank you, Shim Sung Members….Thank you Shim Sung staff, for this opportunity…to learn, to grow together :-)

The Perfect Resting Place–by ilchi Lee

Life’s ordeals and trials can leave deep emotional wounds, wounds that become inflamed and sore when aggravated. Over time scars may form. They remain ever-present reminders of the pain that was suffered. Sometimes we try to pretend the scars are not there, hiding them, even from ourselves. We dress them up, cover them over, run from them. But these are not actions that will heal the wounds, for there is no comfort in the superficial.

True healing comes from inside, from the place that is both the source of rest and the center of power. When life is difficult, we can go inside our bodies and find the perfect resting place. We can breathe evenly, comfortably and say, “Everything is okay,” and pat ourselves encouragingly on the shoulder. Inside ourselves we find true rest, as well as the peace and the power to perform real healing.

The Optimist’s Creed – Christian D Larson

I promise myself…

To be so strong that nothing can disturb my peace of mind.
To talk health, happiness and prosperity to every person I meet.
To make all my friends feel that there is something worthwhile in them.
To look at the sunny side of everything and make my optimism come true.
To think only of the best, to work only for the best and to expect only the best.
To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as I am about my own.
To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future.
To wear a cheerful expression at all times and give a smile to every living creature I meet.
To give so much time to improving myself that I have no time to criticize others.
To be too large for worry, to noble for anger, too strong for fear and too happy to permit the presence of trouble.
To think well of myself and to proclaim this fact to the world, not in loud words, but in great deeds.
To live in the faith that the whole world is on my side, so long as I am true to the best that is in me.

The Law of Energy: the More It’s Shared the Greater It Grows

by ilchi Lee

Energy is created when we give it away.
And energy exists to be used.
The fundamental character of creative energy is such that
“we know we have energy only when we have given it away.”

Escaping from the attitude of weakness that says,
” I have no energy to give,”
Choose first to give, without any conditions.
Then you will be able to see how much energy, unused until
now, exists within you.

Giving first, giving without reserve,
This is the principle for producing creative energy.

Action can Change Emotion

By ilchi Lee

To develop infinite potential,
We need an attitude of actively challenging some great, attractive goal.

The secret of success is to focus exclusively on the goal,
Without being ruled by the state of body and mind.
Actions performed by giving all develop potential abilities
And developed abilities shine bright light on our potential and future.

We have more than 80 facial muscles all told.
But what happens if these muscles are stiffened into negative
paterns like depression, boredom, and frustration?
We feel tired immediately.
The body thus rules the emotion.

Merely laughing out loud, “Ha, ha, ha,” instantly lets us feel
joyful and refreshed.
Ultimately, by changing the energy of the body, we can
change all of our emotions.

“Action rules emotion.”

CoLD

Cold is the wind; Cold are my cheeks…

Colder are my hands; Even Colder are my feet…

ICY Cold, my heart…is anybody home?

Shhhh…I heard a sound…no, I see…

A pair of eyes…staring…peering…

Yours, they met Mine…

sending…

…a tiny spark, a bigger flame…

all of a sudden…a fire…in my heart…started burning…

warm…warm are my toes…warmer are my finger tips…

warmest is my heart…

my face, it broke into a smile….

yes, meeting…a really good meeting…Thank You! :-)

Master Bright’s early morning training always brings me new inspirations….Kam Sa Hap Ni Da

THANKSgiving…

…for you bring new meaning for me…this song…not only…Thank you, Dahn Yoga, Thank you, Dahn Masters, Thank YOU, Dr Ilchi Lee…for I feel hope, each day, I see the sun rise, I feel joy, the little that I could do for others…I feel fulfilled, for what I already have…I think of you, this festive season…

“You Raise Me Up”

When I am down and, oh my soul, so weary;
When troubles come and my heart burdened be;
Then, I am still and wait here in the silence,
Until you come and sit awhile with me.

You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up… To more than I can be.

You raise me up… To MORE than I can be.

Acceptance

So last week I was  disappointed in myself.  I was thinking that I have been coming to Dahn Yoga classes for more than a year and I should be further along in my training.  I should be more flexible.  I should not still be getting headaches.  And on and on and on.  Then I stopped for a second and thought about where I was before Dahn.  I was stiff, emotional, and dealing with headaches almost every day.   I have changed quite a bit from those days.

I realized that I have been so busy focusing on a far off goal, that I have not taken the time to accept where I am currently.    We need to accept and enjoy each level of our development (living in the present).  These are all things we hear regularly in class, but sometimes it takes us awhile to fully accept them.

The powerful healing energy

I really like the Brain Wave Vibration. Vibration is bringing out our body rhythm–the cosmic energy which is the natural healing power in our bodies. I had learned the vibration from the Brain Respiration workshop. It starts the vibration from the 1st chakra and travel up along the spinal cord. It takes some time for the vibration to go up. Cosmic energy is working on its own in different part of my body. Since I use the Brain Wave vibration, cosmic energy filled my body and connected my mind and whole body as one. It also takes much lesser time before. The Brain Wave Vibration is a powerful self healing method. Thank you Grand Master ilchi Lee developed this new tool for us to achieve our optimal health. Thank you Dahn Yoga masters provide all the patient and compassion teaching us how to heal ourselves.
